Water one of the most essential mouth freshener. To loosen food particles that will later cause bad breath, swish water around your mouth for at least 20 seconds and clean your mouth. It works as mouthwash and removes trapped food particles and keeps your breath fresh. You can also gargle with salt water to reduce bacteria in the mouth. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily.

Baking soda is a great way to clean your teeth and get fresh breath. Brush with baking soda to reduce the acidity in the mouth and it also makes it difficult for the bacteria to grow.

Diet: Eat avocado to remove intestinal decomposition that leads to bad breath. You can also eat fresh vegetables, like carrots and celery, fight plaque and this will keep your breath fresh. Do exercise and eat fiber rich foods to prevent constipation and take care of bad breath.

Cheese also fights plaque and mouth odor.

Spices like clove, cardamom, or fennel are very aromatic and if you chew them after meals then you can really prevent bad breath. The seeds of these spices contain antimicrobial properties that can help halt bad breath. Stop bad breath and gum bleeding by chewing unripe guava fruit or its tender leaves.
