Sock Bun Picture1 How To Make a Donut Bun

This is a very stylish and popular bun and looks great for an everyday look. A donut bun can also be done for ballet, dance or even a night out. A donut bun is an ideal bun for medium or long hair. This is a very nice and neat way to keep your hair up. Here I present to you how you can go about making a donut bun in just 5 minutes.

Things You’ll Need

Sock, preferably one that is close to your hair color.

Hair scrunchies

Elastic Band

Tie your hair into a ponytail. In order to make sure the front of your hair is smooth and there are no tangles through your hair, back comb your hair and you can also use gel if you want to. Next you just cut the foot from tube sock. Next to create a donut shape; from the cut end of the tube sock, put the sock on your arm and roll it down from the toe to the elastic end. Weave the ponytail through the hole of the donut you created. Move it all the way to the beginning of the ponytail. Next you just lean forward and spread all your hair evenly over the sock. Using another elastic band you can just stretch it over the sock. Make sure that you don’t mess up your hair. This will need some practice initially. But with this step done you have your task accomplished. Here you will notice that the ends of your hair are sticking out all over. So in this case just, in order to secure the ends of your hair to the base of your sock bun use another hair bow or hair tie. Make sure all the hair goes in the same direction. Press it down clockwise.

But in case if your hair are very long and the ends are still sticking out then just tuck your ends in and twist or braid them around the base. Time to decorate your hair with the scrunchies or sticks. Voila! You are done with your cute donut bun.
