How To Mix Multi Colors In Italian Dough
Before this I have teach you How To Mix Single Colour In Italian dough.
Today I’ll tell you that How To Mix Multi Colors In Italian Dough. Its quite tricky but also fun in making different shades of colors.Rule is also the same, don’t mix extra oil colors in your dough while making any shade. This will cause cracks in your dough. Here in this tutorial I am adding oil colors directly to dough ball. You can also mix colors on some tray or tile first and after your desired colour comes, just roll your dough ball into it so that the colour mixes well from all sides in the dough. This should be known to you that what combination of colors would make your desired color. You can also buy seperate colour tubes as well as can also combine two or more colors.I am also providing basic color sheet at the end.
Here I am making pinkish shade by the combination of two colors which are white and red.
Italian dough / cold porcelain / clay
Vaseline / Petroleum jelly
Oil colors (I am using the brand “Marries”.You can use any other brand also)
1- Take a small ball of dough.
2- Take any color of your choice.I am using white oil color.Add a bit of color into the dough.
3- Now start folding color into the dough by using your thumbs.
4- Continue folding dough. If you feel color is less then add a bit more but remember not too much.
5- Your white colored dough is ready. Now add a bit of red color into this dough ball.
6- Knead it in between your thumbs properly.
7- You’ll see pinkish color is near to come.
8- Knead in between your palms. If you feel color is less you can add a bit of more red color. But for me its perfect so I’ll not add any more colour.
9- Your pinkish colored dough is ready to use.
By following similar steps you can combine any colors and make different colour from it.You can also mix more than 2 colors, its totally up to you.
1- Before and after mixing colors always keep the dough in air tight bag.
2- All colour doughs will always become more darker in shade when it will get dry.So make sure that you stop mixing color at the right time so as a result it will not look more darker from your desired color.
