Pad Thai Pad Thai

Sauce Ingredients

In order to make the perfect pad Thai noodles, you will need to prepare the sauce first. You can see the full instructions, including many variations on my Pad Thai sauce page. Here are the things you will need to prepare this savory sauce:

½ cup of Palm Sugar

½ cup of tamarind juice

¼ cup of fish sauce

½ cup of water

½ teaspoon of salt

Sauce Directions

• Mix all ingredients in a saucepan on low heat and stir occasionally to boil for 1 hour.

• The sauce should become syrupy.

• Keep the sauce in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before making the actual noodle portion of the dish.

• The sauce can also be kept in the refrigerator for days or even weeks before use if you like to prep in advance for several meals.

Pad Thai Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients listed will make 2 healthy sized servings of sautéed Thai noodles.

125 grams of Thai Rice Noodle, soaked in cold water for at least 1 hour

½ cup of fresh shrimp

2-3 bunches of slice chives

2 Eggs

½ cup of sliced bean curd

1 tablespoon of dried shrimp

1 tablespoon of chopped garlic

½ cup of chopped salted turnip

1 tablespoon of shallot

2 cup of bean sprout Crushed Peanuts, to taste

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Water, as needed

Banana Flower

Lime

Red Pepper

Pad Thai Cooking Directions

• Turn range on medium to high heat.

• Put vegetable oil in a medium skillet with garlic and stir for 2 minutes.

• Sauté eggs and shrimp until golden brown.

• Take shrimp out of the pan to avoid them becoming overly dry.

• Add the rice noodles and the sauce and stir until the noodles absorb the sauce and become softer and pliable.

• Add the chives, bean sprouts and shrimp, then mix until all ingredients are soft.

• Stir continuously for best results.

• Serve garnished with bean sprouts, crushed peanuts, red peppers, banana flower and lime.
