 Shepards Pie


Minced beef ½ kg
Potatoes (boiled and mashed) ½ kg
Capsicum (finely cut) 1
Tomatoes (finely cut) 2
Onions finely cut) 1 cup
Cheddar cheese ½ cup
Milk ½ cup
Ginger and garlic paste 1 tsp
Black pepper powder 2 tsp
Mustard powder 1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp
Hot spices powder ½ tsp
Tomato ketchup 4 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Oil ¼ cup


• Mix milk, salt and 1 tsp black pepper in potatoes; fill a piping bag with it and keep aside.
• Heat oil in a pot and fry onions till golden.
• Add tomatoes and ginger, garlic and fry.
• Add mince, salt, remaining black pepper, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot spices and tomato ketchup.
• Cook until mince is tender.
• Layer a pyrex dish with mince, capsicum and cheese.
• Decorate with potato using piping bag.
• Bake dish in pre-heated oven at 180°c for 15 minutes.
